Saturn

Saturn

A very important force in the planetary array, this planet is often the most important natal point,  and the cycles of Saturn are extremely important toward understanding how to best align oneself with our life circumstances. Connections to timekeeping, accountability, success or failure, getting things done, wisdom from experience and still much more–associate to this planet,  so understanding how it works and learning to express it well-becomes critical if one hopes to do well in life.

Where is it in your chart when you were born?  What relationship(s) to other natal planets does it make?

Where has it been in the past? What is it doing now?  Where will it go next?

The astrology of posture

In astrology, posture, a straight-upright spine is most closely associated to Saturn. The strength and character that results is Sun ruled. This is an example of using the power of Saturn-proactively in a very intelligent and positive way. In fact, one could go further and say that there is no better work than striving to be upright.  This will not only immediately connect one to confidence and  strength but also to purpose. Saturn acting in it’s best and most positive role, as a minister to the Sun.

Saturn transiting through Sagittarius

Saturn transits through Sagittarius from December 24, 2014 until June 14, 2015 and from September 17, 2015 until December 19, 2017. This puts pressure on those born in Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini and Virgo. The earlier you are born in each sign, the greater the pressure would have been during the early part of the transit. The later, the more you are affected in the later stages. So for example someone born in the early days of those four signs would have felt the energy of Saturn in late 2014 and into the summer of 2015 and then again in the fall of 2015. If on the other hand you are born in the last third of these signs, 2017 becomes the pressure period. The good thing about Saturn pressure is that it often leads to growth and maturity. The bad is that it can be quite challenging. From December 19 onward, it will be affecting the cardinal signs, Capricorn, Aries, Cancer and Libra.
