Being Present Works

 

Being present works. It does. It’s really the only thing to do and be. Still, until it is totally natural, we’ll probably have to work at it. We need to train this faculty. We have to make it real.

 

How do we do this?

 

By undertaking practices to train ourselves to consciously relate to the present moment. It can be difficult at first but with practice it gets easier. Effort becomes effortless and new efforts are then made in more subtle ways.

 

It is also very helpful to become aware of what in our lives promotes being present. In contrast, what might be getting in the way?

 

Whatever promotes presence we seek to emphasize and enhance. What gets in the way we should work on letting go.

 

With practice and commitment we will soon experience the power of the present moment. We discover our conscious presence is the key to everything in our lives and that there is no better work we can focus on if we intend to be truly happy. As it turns out, skill in relationship to the present moment also translates wonderfully to success in the “ordinary” sense: This means prosperity in health, work, creativity and  relationships.

 

So, bottom line: Being Present Works and………everything benefits!
